Z 7 Hermann Schoemann (1942)


Z7 Hermann Schoemann was operating in Norwegian waters as part of the 5th Z-Flottila until 1942. Then send to France to support Operation Cerberus  in February of 1942 and returned to Norway again. Together with Z24 and Z25Z7 Hermann Schoemann attacked the damaged British cruiser Edinburgh . In this battle, the destroyer was hit in the engine room and later and was sunk by torpedoes of Z24 on 02.05.1942 in the Barents Sea.
