History

This ship was one of a group of three ferries which were assinged as mine layers in August 1914.

Prinz Adalbert , also named Hilfsstreuminendampfer B , operated in the Baltic Sea until November 1918. Renamed Bürgermeister Smidt , it returned to its original duty as a ferry after the war and was scrapped in 1929.
