Z3 Max Schulz (1939)

Z3 Max Schulz was operating in the Baltic Sea near Danzig at the outbreak of the war, later transferred to the North sea after the Polnish campaign. The ship took part on two mining operations in British coastal waters. During a mining mission on 22.02.1940 (Operation Wikinger), Max Schulz was attacked by a German Heinkel He 111 bomber at the Doggerbank. Run into a mine field while evading the bombs. Sunk after bomb and mine hits.
