History

The ferry Silvana was assigned to the Baltic mine layers in August 1914, but it was never used in this role. Instead it was operating in the patrol flotillas in the Baltic Sea, additionally it was used as merchant protection ship. In 1919 it was taken over by France and bought back by its original owners one year later. The Silvana was scrapped in 1924.
