History

The Italian torpedo boat Generale Achille Papa was captured in Genoa on 09.09.1943. First commissioned as TA7 on 17.10.1943, it was reclassified as escort vessel SG20 one day later. Badly damaged after a mine hit on 01.11.1943 it sunk in Genoa harbor on 06.01.1944 where it capsized after an air attack later. The wreck was raised in April 1945 and used as a blockade ship.
