1914:   Part of the 1rd Battleship Squadron at the outbreak of the war.
24.04.1916:   Covers battlecruiser coastal bombardment of Yarmouth and Lowestoft.
31.05.1916:   Battle of Jutland: Rheinland is hit once.
-10.06.1916:   Repairs.
18-19.08.1916:   Unsuccessful North Sea Raid.
18-20.10.1916:   Unsuccessful North Sea Raid.
Spring 1918:   Rheinland takes part in operations to free Finland.
11.04.1918:   Run aground in the Aaland Sea.
09.07.1918:   Ship is recovered after all guns, ammunition and some of the armors (total weight of 6400 t) is moved from board.
04.10.1918:   Used as a barrack ship in Kiel.
05.11.1919:   Decommissioned.
28.06.1920:   Sold for scrap as ship F .
29.07.1920-1921:   Scrapped at Dordrecht.
