History

The former french transport Guyane was taken over by Italy as Acqui on 04.12.1942. After the Italian surrender, the ship was taken over by German troops on 12.12.1943. Commissioned as mine layer on 20.12.1943, it was sunk by the British submarine Upstart near Toulon at 43°02'06"/06°01'ß7"E on 15.02.1944.
