Because of the Christmas holidays, the construction yard was empty for some days, all workers were away ... :) So contruction only progressed very slowly in the last two weeks.

After the timber heads were cut and sanded to the correct length, the rod castings were added to the paddle wheel cover. The gap between both was filled with putty and the rod casting sides - which were added in earlier construction steps - were shortend to the correct length.

The gunwales were glued on top to the bulkwarks. This picture shows the stern section, were some more additional work is required to get a smooth transition between the single parts.

The bow section worked better, after construction the gunwales were sanded and some of the already build superstructre parts were put on the deck to see if they fit correctly.

Next steps will be to add the rubbing strakes at the lower part of the bulwarks.
